Our Guiding Philosophy: Specialized & Faith-Based Therapy At New Heart Counseling Centers in Arvada
At New Heart Counseling Centers, we understand that the journey toward healing isn’t always a straight line. Often, it begins with the courageous decision to find a safe place to land. We recognize that life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck, and we believe that your story deserves to be held with the utmost care, dignity, and respect.
A Safe Space for Your Heart
We know that trauma and life’s heavy seasons can make the world feel unpredictable. That’s why we’ve intentionally created a sanctuary in Arvada where compassion meets clinical expertise. Our approach is rooted in the understanding that your experiences have shaped you, but they do not have to define your future.
-
Honoring Your Agency: While our foundation is built on Christian values, we deeply honor your individual path. You are the expert on your own life. We provide a nonjudgmental, faith-sensitive environment where you decide if, when, and how spirituality enters the conversation.
-
Breaking Down Barriers: Healing is a right, not a privilege. We are committed to ensuring that financial concerns don’t become another burden on your shoulders, offering accessible care to the Colorado Front Range community.
Specialized, Gentle Care
Our team of licensed professionals and interns is trained to work with the delicate complexities of the human nervous system. We utilize specialized, trauma-responsive approaches designed to help you feel regulated and secure:
-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): To help process painful memories so they no longer feel "present."
- DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy): To provide you with practical, compassionate tools for navigating intense emotions, building resilience, and finding balance in difficult moments.
- CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy): To help you gently explore and shift the "stuck points" or beliefs—about yourself and the world—that often change after experiencing trauma.
-
Interpersonal Neurobiology: To understand how your brain and relationships impact your sense of well-being.
-
Holistic Support: Dedicated care for individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, and the echoes of trauma.
